Dr. Urban and Dr. Weinstein are both actively involved locally and also internationally in surgical community service and mission work. Dr. Urban most recently has traveled to the Dominican Republic where he performed many pro-bono reconstructive surgeries such as cleft lip repair, scar revisions, burn surgery, and tumor removal for children and adults who would not otherwise have access to care.
Dr. Weinstein was awarded the prestigious Chul Song Award for Philanthropic Service at the annual American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery meeting in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Weinstein has performed over 1,000 surgeries in his eight mission trips; including bilateral cleft and severe unilateral cleft procedures.
Our commitment extends beyond surgical procedures; it encompasses compassion, education, and empowerment. Dr. Urban has published multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts on the topic of underserved and community care programs. He believes surgical services must extend beyond the “mission trip” and provide support for local communities to establish self-sustaining healthcare infrastructure.
